Yesterday we visited a natural dye studio in central Baltimore called Blue Light Junction. I’ve been wanting to go there since I first heard about it. It was a dreary day but we drove over to their indigo plant sale. I really want to try to dye with indigo this year and I have never had much luck growing plants from seed.

It was a really nice space and everyone was so friendly! We came home with a bunch of tiny plants and put them right in a space we cleared out for the other dye plants we got at Manor Mill.
I’m still very sad my Mary Zicafoose class about indigo dyeing and ikat was canceled in the spring so I’m hoping I can try something at home to make up for it.
