Yarn Store Visit: Yarnablity in Harpers Ferry, WV

We drove up to Harpers Ferry today which always seems far but it really under about 90 minutes away.

We walked around the historic downtown area and went to the historical candy store and then headed out to Bolivar Bread Bakery (highly recommend the pretzel pepperoni roll and basically everything else) and then Yarnability.

I’m not 100% these places are 100% in Harpers Ferry proper but they are just a couple minutes from the historic part.

The shop was really cute! Great selection, lots of parking. The staff was friendly but not intrusive. My husband got some sock yarn and I got some yarn to make the main part of this this miter square edged wrap thing.

I also took a photo of this. I have a planned pooling skein of sock yarn I bought when I couldn’t find the hot pink and orange I wanted to make this scarf but then I found the pink/orange color way at the yarn store we went to yesterday in York, Pa. Maybe my extra skein will work with this pattern? The yarn the pattern calls for is different than what the store used.

I like seeing sample projects! It is hard to wade through knitting sites and Ravelry and find anything good. I’d rather see something in person and get inspired.
