Felting Class!

Today we took a felting class at Manor Mill. When I took my basket weaving class there I saw these felted candles for sale and was tempted but didn’t get them.

Then in March in the newsletter I saw that the woman who made them was teaching a class on making the candles so we signed right up.

It’s a bit of a drive out there but we had a good time. Alison, of Felt Up Girl, was a great teacher! Highly recommend. There were only three of us there but it was a very complete class. She did a great job of demonstrating what to do and offering pointers as we worked.

We learned the techniques and went from no experience to a finished candle in a brass candlestick holder in a little over 2 hrs.

Alison even made us cookies and arranged a whole tableau of felted candles to use as examples. Very detail oriented.
