I didn’t spin for too long today!
I wanted to core spin some Jacob wool I bought at Flying Fibers but didn’t have a ton of luck. I wish the class I took a couple weeks ago at Lovelyarns had been better, I don’t feel like I learned a ton and core spinning was the bare minimum goal of the class.
I stopped before I wasted too much but it wasn’t “catching” on the core very well. My guess is that I should try a different core? We really didn’t go over that or much else in the class.
Jacob is one of those “shave ‘em to save ‘em” heritage “primitive” breeds that is known for their silky wool so I don’t want to waste what I have! I’ll have to revisit it when I have more energy to play around or more experience with slippier fibers.
