I wanted something easy to take on a trip to the beach so I looked for simple patterns that used yarn I already had and didn’t have earmarked for something else.

The pattern was shared by a yarn store I follow online. It was the 2025 Greater Boston Yarn Crawl shawl pattern so it was free for a bit. I enjoy knitting triangles and stripes!

I had some yarn I bought as alternate colors for the shawl KAL I did last year—Malabrigo Rios in Bobby Blue and Whales’s Road. It worked perfectly, it’s very soft and cozy feeling.

In person, the stripe contrast is a little more obvious but it still fairly subtle. It really looks like seaglass or water.
