Countdown Table Runner

We warped up the loom early in the year and I’ve been slowly weaving the Countdown Table Runner on my Wolf Pup. The idea behind the kit was that you could weave just a little a day and make visible process which sounded like a good way to get back into weaving.

It turned out pretty good but I need to iron it or steam it and hang it up because it is kind of wrinkly.

It’s made with a thick cotton yarn (Sirdar Snuggly for the warp and white stripes and Sirdar Happy for the weft) which I found a little tedious to work with because it came on little balls or skeins. I have a couple of the Happy left because I didn’t want to wind it all on bobbins and not use it which I think would work well for crochet.

I had a lot of scraps off the weft left and I tied them together and used the ball winder to make a cake.
