This festival happens twice a year and this time was the biggest yet! We got to the Frederick Fairgrounds early but it was already pretty busy! This time they added a third building so there were even more vendors than before.

I got a grab bag of spinning fiber scraps to make an art batt, some sparkly fibers to add to batts and Matt got a sock knitting kit and some mini skeins to try out some patterns from a mini pattern book I got him earlier this month.
I noticed a lot more items for spinners than I have before–lots of batts, add-ins, fiber and even whole fleece.
I think I would have been tempted to buy more but I know some of the vendors will be at the Alpaca Festival in November and I thought I’d hold off until then. That’s always been the festival with the most spinning items.

I was excited to see them expand! It’s a fun little festival. It’s a bit far from us but it’s an easy drive. It was nice weather so we got a sandwich and ate outside. Our goal was to walk around a bit and peek in some shops but it was trick-or-treat day on the Main Street and I didn’t want to compete with so many children just to window shop. Hopefully, we will be back up there again soon!
