Knitting at the Beach

We are still working our way through You Will Be Able to Knit by the End of This Book. Right now we are on a mitered square lap blanket so I brought it with us to Mayo Beach on the Chesapeake Bay. It was a great portable project because we are knitting each (largish) square individually and then piecing them together.

Somehow my stopper came off in my bag so I had to do some finagling to fix some dropped stitches but I think it worked out okay. I finished the square and it’s the same size as the others I’ve made and I’m not trying to impress anyone.

It all came home sand-free thanks to my Yarnit ball keeper and not getting sand where I was knitting. I also had my new project bag with me—a clearance medium zip top classic tote from Lands End.

It was nice knitting in the wild! Sometimes I get distracted at home but it’s a really peaceful beach—perfect for reading or crafting! I taught myself how to make pin loom squares there almost exactly two years ago.
